Bobby is dead and a new function added
The online bobby accessibility testing service (as we know it is dead) whatsoever has now removed it, but accessibility can still be checked using the webxact online service that also includes quite a bit of other information.
The toolbar has been modified the 'Tools > Bobby' function is gone and the Webxact function has been modified to include:
- Check current page WCAG AAA [new window]
- Check current page WCAG AA [new window]
- Check current page WACG A [new window]
- Check current page Section 508 [new window]
I have also added "CSS > deprecated elements and attributes' function that displays the source code of the current page in a new window and highlights any deprecated elements and attributes found. This function comes from the brilliant mind of my colleague Sofia Celic, who battled her 'regular expression' demons to develop it. Thanks Sofia...
